GRABO Pro Brushless vs HighFlow: Tile or Porous Pavers?

The GRABO Pro Brushless vs HighFlow decision starts with the surface you need to grip. A smooth tile and a porous dry-cast paver can look like similar lifting jobs, yet place very different demands on a vacuum tool. Buying the more expensive model without identifying that difference can leave you paying for capability your work does not need.

Our recommendation: choose for your materials

Start with Pro Brushless for compatible tile, glass, stone, and panel work. Investigate HighFlow when highly porous pavers are the recurring problem. The current US offers are $259.99 tool only for Brushless and $599.99 for the HighFlow kit. The headline difference excludes the battery and charger needed for Brushless.

For mixed work, ask for a demonstration on your actual material before deciding. A product name or a photo cannot establish that either tool will grip every paver you use.

Why porous pavers change the decision

A vacuum grip depends on a pressure difference across a sealed area. Air can enter around an imperfect seal or through a porous workpiece. That makes the material itself part of the gripping system: changing the surface can change the result even when the tool is unchanged.

HighFlow’s published airflow is 50 times the Brushless figure, but its maximum vacuum is lower. Those numbers describe different aspects of performance. They do not mean HighFlow lifts 50 times as much, grabs every material faster, or is a universal upgrade. Its reason to be on your shortlist is a workload dominated by surfaces that admit substantial air.

For tile, glass, and general panel work

Pro Brushless is the more economical starting point when the actual surface falls within its published requirements. Its adjustable vacuum and automatic pressure maintenance give it a clear role in repeated installation work. Read our Pro Brushless review for the controls and limitations.

Do not buy HighFlow solely because a panel is heavy. First establish the required grip, support points, orientation, and handling method. A bigger pump does not solve every problem associated with a large or fragile sheet.

For hardscaping and dry-cast paving

Shortlist HighFlow if porous pavers are the reason you are shopping. Bring a representative sample to a dealer demonstration, including the finish and size you actually install. Asking whether a tool works on “concrete” is less useful than checking the specific product.

Plate fit also matters. A larger contact area is only useful when the workpiece can accommodate the appropriate seal. Small pieces, openings, edges, and surface irregularities should be part of that discussion before purchase.

What equipment does each current offer include?

The current Pro Brushless tool-only offer is $259.99 USD and explicitly excludes the battery and charger. The earlier $339.99 complete-kit URL no longer works. Confirm other included accessories with the seller.

The $599.99 HighFlow kit includes the tool, 300 mm suction plate with SMART CUT foam seal, two batteries, charger, T-bar with a wired on/off remote, spare 300 mm seal, extra filter, manual, and carrying case. The store lists the 400 plate and wireless remote separately.

The linked offers differ in both equipment and application. Add an approved battery, charger and required accessories to Brushless before comparing the complete cost. HighFlow’s paving setup may be useful to a paving crew; treat its accessories as value only if they match how you work.

Budget for replacement seals, filters, and the batteries your workload requires. Published runtime is a planning reference, not a promise of uninterrupted production; leakage, operating settings, and battery condition affect the real result. We have not measured either tool’s battery endurance or labor savings.

Keep lifting figures tied to the plate and surface

GRABO gives Pro Brushless a 265 lb / 120 kg working load limit on non-porous surfaces and separately advertises a 375 lb maximum lift. Its material and orientation limits vary. The larger maximum figure should not replace the applicable working limit.

For HighFlow, the shop states up to 150 lb / 68 kg with the included 300 plate. The product page gives up to 242 lb / 110 kg with the separate 400 plate. These are configuration-specific advertised figures, not a direct equivalent of the Brushless working-load specification.

Do not turn those numbers into a personal carrying allowance. The grip does not make the load lighter, and a large panel can require support beyond the attachment point. Follow the instructions and rating for the exact tool, plate, material, and orientation; confirm an uncertain application with GRABO.

Which one would we buy?

  • Frequent compatible tile or panel handling: start with Pro Brushless. Compare the complete delivered setup cost; choose HighFlow when your material presents a specific need for it.
  • Repeated porous-paver work: prioritize a HighFlow demonstration on your paving product and check plate fit before ordering.
  • You already own a working Pro-Lifter 20: identify the job it cannot do before replacing it. Our Brushless vs Pro-Lifter 20 comparison covers that upgrade decision.
  • One small DIY project: compare rental or an appropriately rated simpler tool before committing to either kit.

Frequently asked questions

Is HighFlow always better than Pro Brushless?

No. Our recommendation depends on the workpiece. HighFlow is worth investigating when porosity is the problem; Brushless is the starting point to investigate for suitable general installation work, with battery and charger costs added when required.

Does the HighFlow kit include wireless control?

The checked store bundle specifies a wired on/off remote with its T-bar. Wireless control is listed among separate accessories. Confirm the exact seller bundle rather than assuming every pictured accessory is included.

Can Pro Brushless lift pavers?

“Paver” alone does not establish suitability. Check the actual surface against GRABO’s requirements. For very porous dry-cast material, investigate HighFlow before buying.

Has Pelstro tested these tools side by side?

No. This is a research-based buying comparison. We have not measured grip performance, comfort, service life, or productivity and do not assign a test score.
